According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the trooper found the drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 about 50 miles west of Columbia, KYTV reported. During the stop in Saline County, “a probable cause” search of the vehicle revealed 88 pounds of meth, $5,505 in cash and a weapon, according to KMBC.

There were enough drugs to cover the entire hood of a patrol car, the highway patrol said.

Last month, Missouri troopers made a similar bust near Cooper County, recovering 75 pounds of meth, according to KYTV.

Three people were taken into custody, KOLR reported.
