Power has been restored to the Vandalia area after a tree fell on a utility line on Saturday.

A tree fell on a primary line that feeds the city of Vandalia during a storm on Saturday afternoon, AES Ohio spokesperson Mary Kabel told News Center 7’s Cody Butler.

She said that they had to turn off the power, clear the tree, and fix the line.

AES Ohio’s outage map shows that over 1,600 customers are without power. Most are in Vandalia.
