When our news crew arrived, smoke was filling the sky on Little Richmond Road.
News Center 7’s Malik Patterson said that there are no fire hydrants in the area. Tanker trucks from other departments were transporting water for hours.
Firefighters could be seen spraying the hotspots.
Neighbors told Patterson that they were helping the owners herd some cattle across the field. So far, almost 30 cattle have been found.
“Part of the barn was on fire, but that’s how quickly it went down,” said Katrina Kerns. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Yeah, it was pretty horrific.”
News Center 7 has contacted the Trotwood Fire Department about the estimated cost of damages.
We will continue to update this story.
