VANDALIA — One person was injured after a car slammed into a home in Vandalia on Friday.

The crash happened in the 400 block of Bennert Drive around 7 p.m.
News Center 7 crews on scene saw a large hole in the corner of the home and bricks scattered on the ground.

Vandalia Division of Fire said one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear if the driver or someone inside the home was injured.
A collapse and trench unit team responded to the scene to help Vandalia firefighters.
