October 5th, 1991, Guns N’ Roses appear on the album charts in the number one and two slots. At #1, “Use Your Illusion II.” At #2, “Use Your Illusion I.”

Today in 1974, Bon Scott does his first gig as the singer for AC/DC.

Today in 1973, Elton John releases his most successful studio album, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” Of course, it features the title track, but side one consists of “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding”, “Candle in the Wind”, and “Bennie and the Jets.” Talk about a classic album side.

Today in 1970, Led Zeppelin released Led Zeppelin III. It includes the track “Immigrant Song”, which oddly for Zeppelin becomes a 45. And the B side of the 45, a non-album track, “Hey, Hey, What Can I Do?”
