September 23rd, 2008, Guns N’ Roses’ “Appetite for Destruction” album is certified 18 million copies sold by the RIAA. It makes it the best-selling debut album up until that point. The album that held the title before that, Boston’s debut album at 17 million. But 10 years later, Hootie and the Blowfish’s debut album, “Cracked Rearview”, gets sales of 21 million and takes the title away from Guns N’ Roses.
