Watch Pearl Jam cover Taylor Hawkins-sung Foo Fighters song "Cold Day in the Sun"

Pearl Jam continued to pay tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins with a cover of the Foo Fighters song "Cold Day in the Sun" during their concert in Los Angels over the weekend.

As the original "Cold Day in the Sun," which appears on the 2005 Foos album In Your Honor, features Hawkins on lead vocals, PJ drummer Matt Cameron stepped up to the mic to sing the cover. David Bowie drummer Mark Guiliana manned the kit for Cameron, while Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers also took the stage to play tambourine.

In introducing the performance, Eddie Vedder said, "It's never easy when you lose someone. As you get older, you'll notice it starts happening more and more...But sometimes, like this, it's so unexpected."

"But also, it makes it harder because he was someone who truly, truly loved living life on this planet," Vedder continued. "So I guess the one thing we can be consoled by is the fact that he never wasted a moment, and he did live his life to the fullest."

You can watch fan-shot footage of the cover streaming now on YouTube.

Pearl Jam is currently on tour supporting the band's 2020 album, Gigaton. During the run's opening show in San Diego last week, Vedder called Hawkins, "very incredible and very special."
