Rodgers announced on Pat McAfee’s show on Tuesday that he will be one of the guest hosts for the popular game show, WTMJ reported. The show is rotating several guest hosts since the death of longtime host Alex Trebek in November.

“One of my idols growing up was Alex Trebek,” Rodgers told McAfee. “They’re doing some guest-hosting spots. It’s going to be released here very soon but I had the opportunity to be one of those. … I’m excited about the opportunity.”

Rodgers has been a contestant on the show before, according to Packers.com. In 2015 he won “Celebrity Jeopardy!” and earned a $50,000 donation to his charity of choice, the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).

Rodgers defeated “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary and retired astronaut Mark Kelly on the episode, according to Packers.com.

It is unclear when Rodgers will host “Jeopardy!” WTMJ reported.
