‘Bring home the bacon’: Police officers search for loose pigs on the run

NEWNAN, Ga. — A police department in Georgia is looking to catch a couple of unlikely offenders.

The Newnan Police Department posted on Facebook Sunday about a unique situation that has sent officers on a wild pig chase.

In the punny post, officials wrote that two pigs are on the loose in the city, but they haven’t been able to catch them because the animals run into the woods every time officers get close.

“These pigs [were] someone’s pets, but the owner seems to have moved away from the area,” the post reads. “Hogwash, I know.”

The post goes on to say that multiple officers tried to capture the pigs, but “they were unable to bring home the bacon.”

“These pigs are very hamsome," officials wrote. “They’re very quick and nimble, as if they were in the Olympigs or something. Or maybe they do karate where they learned to pork chop. Either way, we can’t chase them anymore, or we’ll need a ham-bulance.”

Greetings Newnan!! 🌅 You may have noticed some police 👮🏻‍♀️ activity this morning on East Broad Street... well that’s...
