Bear with plastic cheese ball barrel on head rescued

BLOOMER, Wis. — A family’s day away from home ended with them rescuing a bear whose head had become stuck in a plastic tub.

The Hurt family was fishing at Marshmiller Lake on Saturday when they noticed the bruin with the barrel stuck on its head, WEAU reported.

It was a large plastic cheese ball container, Huff Post reported.

The bear was swimming in the lake near the Hurts’ boat.

The family’s first try almost got the container off the small bear’s head, but a second attempt was successful, WBAY reported.

The bear then swam away.

Never dreamt we would ever do this in our life time. Out on Marshmiller Lake yesterday with Brian Hurt and Brady Hurt when we spotted this poor bear. He made it to shore after all that.
