DAYTON — Law enforcement continues to investigate multiple shootings in Montgomery County this weekend.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, there have been four separate shootings since late Friday, Sept. 11.
The latest one happened around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The Dayton Police Department said that a 16-year-old boy was found shot on Beachwood Avenue, as previously reported.
Felons with a Future said that this was the second shooting in the Riverdale neighborhood, where the city has focused on stopping violence.
A 911 caller told dispatchers that he saw a teen shot.
“The young man in the group home that I’m working in had been AWOL. He came back with a gunshot wound. I need an ambulance,” the caller said.
News Center’s Ava Petrosky said that the group home is on Beechwood Avenue. Medics transported the 16-year-old to a local hospital.
The teen is expected to be okay, according to Dayton Police.
“All I know is he went towards Main Street when he left out here this morning at 8 a.m.,” the caller said.
Petrosky said that police have not found the exact scene. The victim said it happened near the Main Mart on North Main Street.
We spoke with a woman at the store. She did not want to appear on camera.
The woman said that she heard two gunshots from her house down the street.
She added that she saw someone running past the store.
Petrosky watched the store’s security camera footage from Sunday morning. But she did not see any person running.
“I’m just now finding out about it in real time. I wouldn’t say it happens a lot in this area, but I mean it’s kind of sad,” said Zachary Ford.
He lives on Beechwood Avenue. Ford said that he was driving home when he saw police on his street.
Another neighbor spoke off-camera. She saw officers bring the victim outside. This was the second shooting that Felons with a Future dealt with over the weekend.
“When I heard about it this morning, I was like, God, please not our zone again,” said Greg West, CEO of Felons with a Future.
Felons with a Future is running Dayton Violence Interruption Program in North Riverdale.
“Violence is spontaneous. We don’t know when it’s going to happen. Our job is to try to make sure that we do our best to keep it from spreading if it does happen,” said West.
Dayton Police said that they don’t know what led to the shooting.
They said that the victim is not cooperating.
This was one of four shootings in Montgomery County over the weekend.
A person died after being shot just before midnight on Friday at the 1900 block of Riverside Drive.
A man was injured after a shooting just before 11 p.m. on Saturday at the 1200 block of Kumler Avenue.
Three were injured after a shooting just after 1 a.m. on Sunday at the 1900 block of Gant Drive in Harrison Township.
