GERMANTOWN — Explosives were found during a search at a local apartment complex.

The Dayton Bomb Squad and several Germantown police cruisers responded to the Windcliff Village Apartments Wednesday afternoon.

The FBI and Germantown Police Department are conducting “court-authorized law enforcement activity in that area,” an FBI Cincinnati spokesperson confirmed.
Around 6 p.m., the Butler County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media that its bomb unit will be conducting the disposal of explosives recovered during a “previous search warrant investigation.”
A spokesperson for the Butler County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the explosives were recovered during the search at Windcliff.
“There is no danger to the public. The detonations are being conducted in a safe and controlled environment at the designated bomb range,” the sheriff’s office said.
