BEAVERCREEK — UPDATE @ 12 p.m.:
A man is dead after being hit by an SUV on Interstate 675 on Friday morning.

As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, the crash was reported just before 4:55 a.m. on I-675 northbound near Kemp Road.

In an update, Beavercreek Police said a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox was going northbound in the far right lane when it hit a man who was in the roadway.
The man, only identified at this time as a 27-year-old from Dayton, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Equinox wasn’t injured in the crash.
The crash caused northbound I-675 to be closed for about two hours.
Crews are continuing to investigate the crash, including the reason the man was on the interstate.
No charges have been filed at this time.
