WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Five people were hospitalized after a crash near the Washington Township Recreation Center on Saturday.

Deputies and medics responded around 12:10 p.m. to reports of a crash on Miamisburg-Centerville Road (SR-725) near the Washington Township Recreation Center, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

Deputies were able to determine that a Dodge Truck had collided with a Lincoln Sedan, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the collision, the Lincoln struck a tree on the North Side of Miamisburg-Centerville Road.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of the Dodge failed to yield when turning East onto Miamisburg-Centerville Road from Garnet Drive and collided with the Lincoln.
The driver and all three occupants of the Lincoln were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
