Thank you to the hard work of our local concert guru Todd Hollst, we’ve secured some last-minute tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Riverbend Music Center on Friday July 5th.
I still remember first hearing for the first time with the song “Under the Bridge.” It was a different sound than what we were used to hearing in 1991. It was cutting-edge and alternative. Even the name of the band was catchy and impressive. By that time music was changing and the sound they introduced would live on in many alternative acts in the 90′s and 2000′s.
Many people must feel the same way. The song hit #1 on the US Cash Box charts and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
