Watch Stevie Nicks take you on a historical journey in the video for her new single “Show Them The Way”.

Stevie Nicks has a new single called “Show Them The Way”.

Oscar-winner Cameron Crowe directed the video for the song.

There are many historical figures who appear in the video.

You’ll spot Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, as well as other Kennedy family members.

About halfway through the song, the images change to more modern times.

You’ll see the Twin Towers on 9/11 and George W. Bush talking to first responders at Ground Zero.

Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and more make appearances.

Back in 2008, Stevie had a dream she performed at a political benefit attended by Martin Luther King Jr., John, and Bobby Kennedy, and John Lewis.

It inspired her to write a poem called “The Kennedys” which became the lyrics to "Show Them The Way.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock Stevie said "I sent this poem off to Senator [Ted] Kennedy when I heard he was ill, I wanted him to have it. People have asked me, ‘What is this dream about?’ My answer has always been, ‘Something about Barack Obama made me feel the hope and love I felt from the Kennedys and from Dr. King.’ My subconscious mind created this amazing dream. The dream hands the torch to Mr. Obama. ‘Do not forget what we were fighting for!’ I believe he will not forget.”

The track features guest Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters on Drums and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics on Guitar.
