I fell in love with radio when I was young, listening to talk-shows on WHIO-AM, and music stations like WVUD, WDJX and of course, Z93. When I was a teenager I operated an illegal pirate radio station from my bedroom. The signal didn't broadcast very far but the rebellious feeling it gave me was intoxicating. I was hooked.
When I went away to college I got a job at the campus radio station but my grades sucked and my parents made me come home. I enrolled at the local broadcasting school and before I graduated I had part-time jobs in both TV and Radio. I ran camera for the Fox 45 Kids Club and was working at WING/Z93 as a board operator. Eventually, they let me on the air at Z and I was off and running. It was so much fun.
I’ve hosted and produced many shows on several local radio stations and it’s been an amazing ride. I’m a happy person to be sure but I’m at my happiest and most content when I’m on the air. Takes me back to the days of playing radio in bedroom when I was a kid.
