“Let The Music Play” Documentary

1 year later, artists discuss the impact of COVID-19

It has been one year since the first cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in the U.S. It’s impacted us all in many different ways. The music industry was hit particularly hard. Concert venues were shut down, bands had to stop touring, and the economic impact has been devasting on everyone involved. According to NIVA (National Independent Venue Association) 90% of independent venue owners, promoters, and bookers could close permanently. DailyBoom media made a documentary about the severe impact through the eyes of the artists. Here’s the trailer for “Let The Music Play”.

These are a few of the artists featured in the documentary - Jeff Pilson (Foreigner / ex-Dokken), Michael Sweet (Stryper), Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake / Cher), Haley Johnsen (American Idol / indie artist), Todd “Dammit” Kerns (Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators), Chip Z’Nuff (Enuff Z’Nuff), Ace Von Johnson (L.A. Guns / Faster Pussycat), and more.

“Let The Music Play” will be released April 9th.
