A moving photo taken during a Ferguson protest in Portland, Oregon is quickly going viral on social media.
According to OregonLive, the touching scene was captured by freelance photographer Johnny Nguyen. In the photo, Portland Police Sgt. Bret Barnum is seen hugging 12-year-old protester Devonte Hart during a Ferguson demonstration in the city.
The police officer noticed the young man holding a “Free Hugs” sign, and started talking to him about school and life. At the end of their conversation, the police officer pointed to the sign and asked, “Do I get one of those?”
That’s when the emotional moment was captured on camera.
